For sale is a rare find, a fine quality Mark Cross Italian Leather Desk Top Set. This vintage Set comes with a Correspondence Letter Box with Top, it measures 11" X 15-1/8" inside and 11-1/4" X 15-1/4" outside measurements, one side of the handle on the top is missing the leather piece. The bottom is lined with grosgrain and marked Cross. It is in good condition with some rubs and a discoloration on the underside of the Lid.

There is a Pen / Pencil Holder, 4-1/8" tall and 3-1/8" square, leather with brass accents in good condition. A Scissor / Letter Opener combination, it measures 10-3/8" x 3-1/8" x 1-1/2 high, in good condition with some brass aging. A Notes Paper Holder which measures 6-5/8" x 4-5/8" x 1-5/8 high leather with Brass Accents. The last piece is a Letter Holder, I just found it was not a Cross but Blue Star Top Grain Cowhide brand, works well with the Cross; this is a family item and I never realized it was not a Mark Cross as well, it measures 7-1/2" x 4-1/2" x 4-1/2 high, there is a light scratch on the back top and a rub on the back side edge.

I think this Set is in very good condition for something with the age, some of the wood needs touching up, the brass shows some age but everything can be touched up. Were I keeping this I would have it spruced up by a professional as items like this are few and far between, especially in a Set.
